Florida residents who currently earn minimum wage will receive another wage boost amidst heavy inflation in the U.S.
The state’s minimum wage will increase from $10 an hour to $11 and will be in effect on September 30, 2022.
The increase is part of a voter-approved amendment passed in November 2021, where the minimum wage was approved to incrementally increase each year by $1 until reaching $15 an hour–$11.98 for tipped workers–on September 30, 2026.
