Proliant was selected in the category of Best Advance in Emerging Talent Acquisition Technology for ReadyPay Today.

Proliant, a leader in payroll and HR solutions, was awarded the Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology Award. Proliant was selected in the category of Best Advance in Emerging Talent Acquisition Technology for its solution ReadyPay Today, which helped solve two major challenges for PepperJax, a fast-casual restaurant specializing in Philly cheesesteaks.

Entries were evaluated via a rigorous judging process by an international panel of independent industry experts consisting of the Brandon Hall Group senior analysts and executive team. The judging was based on the following criteria:

  • Overall measurable results

The Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards consist of “two annual programs that recognize the best organizations that have successfully deployed programs, strategies, modalities, processes, systems, and tools that have achieved measurable results.” Entrants consist of leading corporations from around the globe and mid-market and smaller firms.

ReadyPay Today was able to help PepperJax with a couple of issues with its business operations.

PepperJax is a fast-casual restaurant specializing in Philly cheesesteaks located in the Midwest with over 500 employees operating 35 locations. In order to tip out employees in cash at the end of the workday, PepperJax Managers had to make trips to ATM machines to withdraw enough funds since most locations do not have enough cash at the end of the night due to most customers paying with non-cash payment methods. Tip pooling and manual data entry into spreadsheets also created complex calculations for store operators. This wasted management’s time and left room for data entry errors. 

Proliant helped PepperJax by allowing the company to integrate data points directly from operational systems to automate difficult business processes, such as tip pooling calculations. And with ReadyPay Today, PepperJax managers were able to automatically perform gross to net paycheck calculations in real-time based on an employee’s hours worked and/or tips allocated to them. 

To date, Proliant has deployed tip pool calculation and automated disbursements across all PepperJax locations. With Proliant’s ReadyPay Today solution, PepperJax was able to streamline their daily tip pooling calculations while allowing servers instant access to their wages for the tips earned and hours worked.
